We offer programs in the privacy of your home, in a group setting or at our location. We adapt our training to your needs. We have several packages available. All prices quoted for off-site training are within a 60 mile radius of our location, however, we will travel outside of this area for an additional travel charge.
We deal with behavioral issues as part of our basic obedience training program. Behaviors that can be addressed include, but are not limited to, jumping, biting/mouthing, resource guarding, pulling on the leash, housebreaking, not coming when called, etc... Most issues have to do with basic deficiencies in lack of a leadership, lack of proper exercise, or lack of boundaries. Your dog may be experiencing one or all of the above.
Are you looking for a trainer who has actually trained and worked dogs in many different facets of dog training/dog work? I have trained, worked and titled/certified dogs in the fields of Search and Rescue, Obedience, Conformation, Narcotics and Explosives, Personal Protection and Service Dogs. You will be getting a well rounded trainer with 23 years of experience. Demand proof of a Trainer's experience, don't just take their word for it.
Our In-Home Obedience offers a 6 week long program where we come to you and train with you and your dog, in the privacy of your home.
Our Residential Training is training where the dog boards with us and we do all the training for you. For Basic Obedience, this is a 3 week long program. Dogs are housed in our home, not in a kennel.
We are an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator. The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club. Please go to the page for more information about the program and testing requirements.
We also offer the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program. The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy is an exciting new program designed to get dog owners and their puppies off to a good start. The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program is an incentive program for loving dog owners who have taken the time to take their puppies through a basic training class. We also offer Conformation Training for those who are interested in showing their dog. We use the Happy Legs system to teach your dog to "stack" properly.
If you are interested in Personal Protection training for your dog, we can provide that also. Your dog must be evaluated to determine if they have a suitable temperament for this type of training. Please go to the Personal Protection page for more info on this training.
